How payouts are calculated:

  • Resale Value: A perfect, like new couch has a resale value between 35-50% of retail. This means a couch purchased for $1000 is worth $500, at most, on the used market the second it enters your home.
  • Hidden Costs: In addition to paying you up front for your couch, we send two skilled movers to pickup the item and a skilled cleaner cleans the item when it gets to our warehouse. We then market, sell and deliver your couch to the end user for as close to it's resale value as possible. This comes out to around $250 of labor.
  • Your Payout: We take the resale value of the couch, subtract the "hidden costs" and split the remainder right down the middle. This is how we get your offer!

Example:

You buy a couch for $1000 and own it for 6 months, taking great care of it.

We look at similar items that have sold and determine we can sell it for $450.

We subtract our $250 in costs and get to a total profit of $200.

We split the profit with you by offering $100.
